Every licence, with what we found on the register

We mark a licence verified only after reading it on the regulator's own register or in a regulator-authored publication. Everything else stays visibly open.

Notes from our checks

  • FCA 717270: TICKMILL UK LTD, status Authorised — read via the official FCA Register API (account-keyed, regulator-authored data) (2026-08-26). Previously: FRN per Tickmill's own licences page; Companies House 09592225 Active (read first-hand); FCA clone warnings name it as the genuine firm. Re-read 2026-09-09 direct from the FCA Register API (Firm/717270): 'TICKMILL UK LTD', status 'Authorised'.
  • CySEC 278/15: Re-read first-hand on the CySEC register 2026-08-22: licence 278/15, authorised 05/08/2015, company reg 340249, approved domain tickmill.com/eu. The register records the firm's former name as Vipro Markets Ltd.
  • FSCA 49464: FSP 49464 per Tickmill's own licences page (read first-hand). FSCA's register still returns 'Website under maintenance' to automated reads (re-checked 2026-08-22) — register read outstanding. Tickmill's own pages give two different registered addresses for this entity; treat the address as unconfirmed.
  • FSA SD008: Entity present in the FSA capital-markets directory (read first-hand); the directory does not expose SD numbers.
  • Labuan FSA MB/18/0028: Money-broking licence SURRENDERED effective 10/01/2025 per Labuan FSA's own 'Surrendered & Revoked' list (as at 29 Jan 2026). A July-2024 Tickmill client agreement still hosted on tickmill.com states the entity is 'authorized and regulated' under this number — the document predates the surrender. Not listed by Clarytrade as current regulation.

Regulator actions and notices on record

Stated neutrally, each with its official source. We never publish an unsourced regulatory-history claim.

  • 2025-09-29·CVM (Brazil)

CVM issued Declaratory Act 23.967, a stop order against unauthorised solicitation of Brazilian residents, naming Tickmill Ltd, Tickmill UK Ltd, Tickmill Europe Ltd, Tickmill South Africa (Pty) Ltd and group subsidiary Procard Global Ltd. CVM's position is that no institution is authorised to offer these products to the Brazilian public.

  • 2021-03-26·FCA (United Kingdom)

FCA clone-firm warning about 'FxoptionTrade Limited', an unauthorised firm impersonating Tickmill UK Ltd. The notice identifies Tickmill UK Ltd (FRN 717270) as the genuine authorised firm with no connection to the clone — a warning about impersonators, not an action against Tickmill.

Do it yourself

Verify these licences in five minutes

Never take a licence claim from a broker page, or from us, without reading the register.

  1. 1. Note the exact legal entity and licence number from the table above, or from the client agreement you would sign.
  2. 2.Open the regulator's own register from the links below, never from a link the broker hands you, and search that number.
  3. 3. Match the entity name and number exactly, check the status is active or authorised, and look for a clone-firm warning naming the brand.

ICF 90% up to €20,000 (EU entity) · FSCS up to £85,000 (UK entity). Compensation schemes pay out only if the firm itself fails and cannot return client money; they never cover trading losses, and they apply only to clients of the specific licensed entity, not to every Tickmill client worldwide.

Not in the warnings we hold (FCA clone-firm and unauthorised-firm warnings from mid-2026 onwards, refreshed weekly). Absence is not clearance: search the FCA warning list for the brand and any name a caller gives you.

Has Tickmill been fined or warned by a regulator?

Our log holds 2 sourced regulator notes for Tickmill, the most recent dated 2025-09-29 (CVM (Brazil)). Each is listed on this page with a link to the official source.
