Usage & device data (with your consent): if you accept analytics, our analytics provider records pages viewed, approximate location, device type and interactions, to help us improve the site. Analytics does not run until you accept.

Essential data: a country code (to show platforms available in your region and the right risk wording), any campaign/referral parameters (to credit the source that introduced you, which is core to how an affiliate service works), your theme and consent preferences, and standard server logs for security.

Clickout data: when you click through to a platform, we log the broker, the page and placement you came from, referral/campaign data, device type, an approximate country, a quiz session identifier where applicable, and a timestamp — to measure performance and reconcile commissions.

Email: if you ask us to email your matches or updates, we store your email address and related quiz session.

We do not knowingly collect special-category data or payment details.

Consent — analytics and any marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Legitimate interests — securing the site, preventing fraud, and attributing affiliate referrals so we are paid correctly. We balance these against your rights.

Performance of a request — delivering the matches or updates you asked us to send.

We do not sell your personal data. We use trusted processors to run the service: hosting and edge delivery (Vercel), database (Supabase), product analytics (PostHog) and email delivery (Resend). When you click an affiliate link, the destination platform and its affiliate network receive the referral identifier needed to attribute the introduction. Each processor handles data under its own terms and our instructions.

Some processors are based outside the UK/EEA (for example, in the United States). Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

We keep analytics and clickout data for as long as needed to measure and improve performance, then aggregate or delete it. Email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

Subject to law, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw analytics or marketing consent at any time. To exercise any right, email privacy@clarytrade.com. If you are in the UK or EEA, you may also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

Clarytrade is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
