Every licence, with what we found on the register

We mark a licence verified only after reading it on the regulator's own register or in a regulator-authored publication. Everything else stays visibly open.

Notes from our checks

  • FCA 777911: FCA Register API 2026-08-26: Exinity UK Ltd, status 'Authorised — applied to cancel' — the UK entity has APPLIED TO CANCEL its FCA authorisation. FXTM does not onboard UK clients via Clarytrade (GB excluded); do not present FCA as active oversight going forward. Earlier confirmation: FCA clone-warning page named the genuine firm. Re-read 2026-09-09 direct from the FCA Register API (Firm/777911): 'Exinity UK Ltd', status 'Authorised - applied to cancel'.
  • FSCA FSP 50320: Was 'FSP 46614' under the name 'ForexTime Ltd' — a row that carried no source and no check date, and contradicted the broker's own disclosure. FXTM states FSP No. 50320 consistently on fxtm.com/en, fxtm.com/za and forextime.com/za, and its own crypto-leverage PDF names the holder: 'Exinity Limited ... is licensed by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) of South Africa, with FSP No. 50320 and is a licensed Over the Counter Derivative Provider.' 46614 is most likely the pre-rebrand ForexTime number. ENTITY CONFIRMED FIRST-HAND 2026-09-09 on the FSCA's own entity search (OTC Derivative Providers lookup, browser read): 'EXINITY LIMITED — Status: Approved, Public Company, 173 Oxford Rd, Rosebank, Non Bank, Foreign.' The same lookup returns 'FOREXTIME LTD — Status: Application Withdrawn' (35 Lamprou Konstantara, Kato Polemidia, Limassol, Cyprus) — i.e. the entity name we previously published against this licence has a WITHDRAWN FSCA application, which corroborates the correction. NUMBER STILL BROKER-DISCLOSED: the ODP register publishes no licence number and the FSCA's FSP-number search host is still 404 (checked 2026-09-09), so 'FSP 50320' remains Exinity's own disclosure while the ODP authorisation itself is now register-verified.
  • CMA 135: Was wrongly '122' (source at the time: Exinity press release). Now confirmed first-hand on the CMA Kenya licensees register — licence No. 135 held by Exinity Capital East Africa Limited. Status stays 'corrected' so the original error remains in the public corrections log.
  • CySEC 185/12: CIF withdrawn 20 May 2024 — removed from data.ts.

Protections

What the licences actually give you

Three protections worth checking by name. Any of them can be missing even when a broker is licensed somewhere.

Compensation schemeNone identified in our records
Segregated client fundsSegregated fundsClient money held in bank accounts kept separate from the broker's own funds, so it isn't used to run the business and is easier to return if the firm fails.Yes, per the broker's disclosures
Negative-balance protectionNegative-balance protectionA safeguard that stops your account going below zero, so you can't end up owing the broker more than you deposited. Mandatory for retail clients in some regions.Yes, for retail clients where the regulator requires it

FCA warning list

FCA warnings naming FXTM

Read weekly from the FCA's own pages. A clone warning names the genuine firm being impersonated and protects it; an unauthorised-firm warning says the brand is not authorised for UK business.

Do it yourself

Verify these licences in five minutes

Never take a licence claim from a broker page, or from us, without reading the register.

  1. 1. Note the exact legal entity and licence number from the table above, or from the client agreement you would sign.
  2. 2.Open the regulator's own register from the links below, never from a link the broker hands you, and search that number.
  3. 3. Match the entity name and number exactly, check the status is active or authorised, and look for a clone-firm warning naming the brand.

FXTM regulation: common questions

Is FXTM regulated?

Yes, FXTM holds 4 regulatory licences in our records, with 0 of its 4 licence records read first-hand on the regulators' own registers (last read 2026-09-09). Its strongest licence is tier-2 (FSCA and CMA); there is no tier-1 licence in our records. Regulation is entity-specific: your protections depend on which FXTM legal entity onboards you, not on the brand.

Is FXTM regulated by the FCA?

Not as current oversight. Exinity UK Ltd (fmr Forextime UK Limited) appears in our log under FCA reference 777911, but our latest register read (2026-09-09) recorded a status change, so we no longer present the FCA as regulating FXTM. See the notes on this page and check the FCA register entry yourself.

Is FXTM regulated by FSCA?

Yes. Exinity Limited holds FSCA licence FSP 50320 (South Africa, tier-2). Our check: corrected against the register, last read 2026-09-09.

Is FXTM regulated by CMA?

Yes. Exinity Capital East Africa Limited holds CMA licence 135 (Kenya, tier-2). Our check: corrected against the register, last read 2026-08-22.

Which FXTM entity would I be onboarded by?

FXTM onboards clients through 3 legal entities in our map (United Kingdom, South Africa and Kenya). Which one applies depends on your country of residence and is named on your client agreement at signup. Use the entity checker to see the likely match for your country, then confirm it on the agreement before depositing.

Does FXTM have investor compensation?

No compensation scheme is identified for FXTM in our records. If the firm failed, there would be no statutory backstop for client money. Clients onboarded offshore are usually in this position even when the brand also holds a tier-1 licence elsewhere.

Has the FCA published a warning naming FXTM?

Yes. 1 FCA clone-firm warning names FXTM's genuine authorised entity as the firm being impersonated, most recently on 2023-12-08 — a warning about fraudsters, not about FXTM. Each warning is listed on this page with a link to the FCA's own text.

Has FXTM been fined or warned by a regulator?

We hold no sourced regulator action for FXTM as of 2026-09-09. Absence from our log is not a clean bill: check the enforcement and warning pages of each regulator named above before depositing.
