Processed does not mean received.

Broker withdrawal times: what starts the clock, which stage the number describes, and what the published wording leaves unanswered.

How long should a broker withdrawal take?

There is no useful single answer without the company, payment method and payment stage. A processing window describes the broker's work. An arrival estimate describes the payment reaching its destination. Treating them as the same clock can make a request look overdue before the quoted arrival window has even started.

We read 3 official public pages and recorded 5 method or policy examples below. This is a comparison of dated documentation, not measured withdrawal speeds. It does not rank brokers or establish whether they can open an account for you.

Follow the money through three stages

  1. 01

    Ready for review

Is verification complete? Has the request and any required confirmation been accepted?

  2. 02

    Broker processing

Which cut-off applies? When does the broker release the payment to the next provider?

  3. 03

    Payment arrival

Has the receiving bank, card issuer or wallet credited it? What reference can trace the payment?

This is a way to organise your questions. Portal status labels and the event that starts each clock differ by provider.

What the public policies say

Read each row within its company and method scope. Working days are not elapsed 24-hour periods. We keep unspecified day units and conflicting wording visible rather than calculating an unsupported total.

XM · General FAQ

Official source ↗

Version returned with an XM Global Limited (Belize) footer; not a policy for every XM entity.

Broker processing
Within 24 hours (one business day), after account verification.
Payment arrival
No single arrival window; clearing varies with banks and payment providers.

Check before counting: The business-day qualification matters. This does not establish a 24-hour weekend deadline or your account's available methods.

IC Markets Australia · Credit / debit card

Official source ↗

International Capital Markets Pty Ltd, Australia; CFD withdrawal page.

Broker processing
Before 12:00 AEST/AEDT: day of receipt. After: following business day.
Payment arrival
After processing: usually 3–5 business days; sometimes up to 10, depending on the bank.

Check before counting: Check the broker's local cut-off and complete the required email confirmation.

IC Markets Australia · International bank wire

Official source ↗

International Capital Markets Pty Ltd, Australia; CFD withdrawal page.

Broker processing
The same 12:00 AEST/AEDT cut-off applies.
Payment arrival
The page allows up to 14 days for an international wire.

Check before counting: That statement does not specify calendar versus business days or a precise starting event. Ask before treating it as a deadline.

Tickmill UK · Bank transfer

Official source ↗

Tickmill UK Ltd; the UK page and its payment-method table.

Broker processing
The payment table states processing within one working day.
Payment arrival
The table gives an estimated 2–7 working days for withdrawal arrival.

Check before counting: Unresolved wording: the process section on the same page says bank wires may take 1–3 working days. Confirm the applicable window and its starting event with support.

Tickmill UK · Visa / Mastercard

Official source ↗

Tickmill UK Ltd; the UK page and its payment-method table.

Broker processing
The payment table states processing within one working day.
Payment arrival
The table gives up to 8 working days for withdrawal arrival.

Check before counting: The arrival column does not clearly define its starting event. Do not automatically add both numbers into a promised total.

The Tickmill bank-transfer discrepancy is an unresolved documentation question, not evidence that a specific customer payment is late. We have not obtained an account-specific clarification.

Worked example · hypothetical request

Friday afternoon is not Friday processing

Suppose an otherwise complete IC Markets Australia request arrives on Friday at 13:00 AEST/AEDT. Under the published cut-off rule, it falls into the following business day: Monday, assuming no relevant holiday. Monday is the processing day in this example, not a promised bank-credit date.

Our interpretation of the published Australian cut-off rule. It assumes the request meets all other conditions; it is not a payment forecast.

Ask a question that identifies the missing stage

  • Verification or confirmation pending: ask exactly what is outstanding and whether the request has been accepted for processing.
  • Accepted, not released: ask for the applicable processing window, cut-off, timezone and event that started the clock.
  • Marked as sent, not received: request the release date, destination route and available payment reference. Ask the receiving provider to trace it.
  • Rejected or returned: ask for the written reason, where the funds are now and what must change before another request.

These are research questions, not a diagnosis of your account. Keep sensitive documents and account identifiers out of public posts. Save the policy version, request confirmation and support replies privately.

Sources, method and reuse

Read first-hand on 13 October 2026. We selected public examples that expose the difference between processing, arrival and cut-offs; this is not a representative sample of the market. Entity labels come from the versions served, not a new regulator-register check. Websites may return a different regional version when you visit.

Cite the wording with its scope

Clarytrade, “Broker Withdrawal Times: Processing vs Arrival”, 13 October 2026. Public policy comparison; no test withdrawals. When reusing a row, keep its entity, method, source and unresolved caveat together.

We did not log in to client accounts or make withdrawals for this comparison. Estimates do not establish an individual entitlement, a legal deadline or a promise of recovery.
